Privacy Policy

Raqam ("we", "our", or "us") is a daily number puzzle game developed by Ali Alaa. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is used.

1. Data We Collect

Anonymous user ID — a randomly generated identifier created on first launch. No name, email, or account required to play.
Puzzle activity — which puzzles you played, your score, time taken, and hints used. Stored on our servers to power the leaderboard and streak tracking.
Device and app information — device type, OS version, app version, and language. Used for analytics and crash diagnostics.
Advertising identifiers — with your permission (iOS ATT prompt), your device's advertising identifier (IDFA/GAID) may be used to serve personalized ads via Google AdMob.
Purchase history — if you purchase a Pro subscription or hint pack, transaction data is processed by Apple or Google and shared with RevenueCat to manage your entitlements. We do not store payment card details.
Email address — only if you choose to create an account (optional). Used for account recovery only.

2. How We Use Your Data

To run the game and sync your progress across devices
To display the daily leaderboard and your personal stats
To serve ads that help keep the free version of the app available
To process in-app purchases and unlock Pro features
To send optional daily puzzle push notifications (only if you grant permission)
To understand how the app is used and improve it over time

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:

Supabase — database and authentication. Privacy Policy

4. Advertising and Tracking (iOS ATT)

On iOS, we ask for your permission to track your activity using Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. If you allow tracking, Google AdMob may use your advertising identifier to show you personalized ads. If you decline, you will still see ads but they will not be personalized. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

5. European Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within 30 days.

The legal basis for processing your data is our legitimate interest in operating the game and, where applicable, your consent (for personalized advertising and push notifications).

6. Data Retention

Anonymous play data (scores, streaks) is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all personal data is deleted within 30 days. Advertising data is governed by Google AdMob's own retention policies.

7. Children

Raqam is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Service Discontinuation

In the event that Raqam is discontinued, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via in-app notification and/or email (if you have an account). Active subscribers will be notified and should request a prorated refund for any unused subscription period through the App Store or Google Play. All user data will be deleted within 90 days of the service shutting down.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
